Terms and Conditions

1. General
1.1 A registration form must be completed and signed by at least one parent. This form must be returned on first official lesson after trial, along with registration fee
1.2 Periodically your child may be recorded for teaching, training and theatrical purposes.
1.3 Correct uniform must be worn by all students for classes. Only the Academy t-shirt may be worn in lesson time, and is a compulsory part of the uniform of Steppin’ Out. No jewellery & hair neatly groomed. When attending events, displays and external
shows the compulsory t-shirt must be worn without fail.
1.4 Any medical condition must be disclosed to the Academy upon registration and thereafter.
1.5 Any student who is approached or volunteers to participate in any other stage performance with any other company or society ( with the exception of normal school productions during term time) must obtain permission from the Principal prior to any agreement being made to take part.
1.6 The method of communication by the Academy is via email. It is therefore essential that all email addresses are kept up to date.
1.7 It is important that any learning difficulties are disclosed in order for us to provide support and nurture the student.
1.8 If lessons are cancelled by the Academy due to an act of God i.e. Bad weather, affected pupils can attend any similar lesson available.
1.9 Your child’s image and audio/visual recording may be used for publicity and promotion for Steppin’ Out Academy of Performance and its associates.
1.10 It is essential for the efficient training and teaching of dance for a degree of physical contact to take place. On signing the registration form the parent or guardian accepts this provision.
1.11 On no account can Steppin’ Out name be used in any form of publicity without written approval from the Principal.
1.12 Participation in the Annual production for the Poole Academy’s is compulsory, except where a student’s individual circumstances are such that participation would be detrimental to them. Each case will be considered by the Principal and will be at her discretion.
Productions are not guaranteed to be every year until the official show pack has been issued and dates with the venue confirmed. Members of MTC classes are required, as part of their Curriculum, to also participate in the cabaret show along with participation of the Annual Production.
1.13 Examinations are not compulsory but if undertaken require additional fees for coaching classes.
1.14 Attendance of any other similar dance/performance school must be disclosed to the Principal upon registration.
1.15 SOAP LLP hire premises from Third Parties; therefore all SOAP LLP Staff, Parents, Guardians and pupils must abide by the codes of conduct as set out by those Third Parties.
2. Fees & Payment
SOAP LLP runs classes for Sturminster Marshall 38- 40 weeks of the year, and for Poole & Bournemouth 40- 43 weeks of the year, dependent of where term dates fall
2.1 ALL FEES ARE PAYABLE BY DIRECT DEBIT ONLY. SOAP LLP year runs from April ( Summer Term ) to March (Spring Term) Your monthly fees are calculated by your child’s class/es fee multiplied by the the number of weeks your child’s branch is open to them, then divided by 12 months. If joining after April the fees are worked out on the remaining weeks left divided by the remaining months left in that year
2.2 A regular monthly direct debit is the only method SOAP LLP will accept. We will not accept monthly BACS payments or fast track payments.
Should you not be able to set up a DDR and require to pay your child’s fees each term or by Childcare Vouchers, then you will need to notify the office on receipt of your first invoice. We will then send you a termly invoice. Please note all termly fees will need to be paid within 7 days of the start of a new term or 7 days of starting with SOAP LLP.
2.3 Invoices must be checked, all classes taken must be paid for even if not shown on your invoice. We reserve the right to backdate invoices for corrections. If you do not receive an invoice by the second week of attendance it is your responsibility to contact us to obtain a copy of your invoice as this usually is as a result of incorrect email details.

2.4 If your child partakes in additional classes you are required to fill in separate “Additional Class” Form. These are obtainable from your child’s teacher and or reception at Poole the Studios.
2.5 Please retain all payment receipts as chequebook records are not proof of payment for classes. Where there is a dispute, if the Parent or Guardian cannot provide proof of payment, they must accept SOAP LLP records
2.6 Late Payments on fees stated in 2.1 will be subject to a 10% additional charge per week. Your child will be prevented from taking her lessons if fees continue to remain unpaid
3. Cancellation
3.1 Should your child wish to cancel one of their a classes then we require a fee equivalent to 8 weeks lessons. We require written notice (email acceptable).
3.2 Any classes that fall under 5 students in total will be cancelled.
3.3 Lessons must be paid for even if your child is ill, has an accident or away on holiday. Substitute lessons can be arranged where applicable.
3.4 If you wish to withdraw from the Academy altogether, a cancellation fee equivalent to 8 weeks lessons is payable. We require written notice (email acceptable). Your account will accrue the monthly fee each month until we hear from you, to a total maximum of three months from your child’s last lesson. If SOAP LLP do not hear from you in those three months then the unpaid account including the 8 week cancellation fee will be passed on to our debt collection agency this will incur additional charges and may damage your credit rating.
4. Exclusions and Expulsion
4.1 Necessary discipline will be enforced and the Principal reserves the right to terminate any pupil’s enrolment without notice. Abusive and disruptive behaviour by students or parents will not be tolerated.
4.2 Failure to pay fees within the stated period in 2.1 & 2.3 will result in your child being unable to attend the Academy until full payment is received. SOAP LLP will pass on to our debt collection agency this will incur additional charges and may damage your credit rating.
5. Regulations
5.1 The school may from time to time introduce regulations for the better running of the school. All students enrolled at the school, attending classes, shall be expected to adhere strictly to any and all such regulations and duly accept any revised terms and conditions. 5.2 Steppin’ Out reserves the right to alter the timetable, change venue and increase fees without notice.
6. SOAP LLP Liabilities
6.1 SOAP LLP do not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising from errors or omissions on the registration form whether completed by you or the person in charge of your child at the time of enrolment.
6.2 SOAP LLP do not accept liability for death or personal injury to any child attending class, with the exception of such injury being caused by negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.
6.3 SOAP LLP do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
6.4 SOAP LLP do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control including, transport, fire, weather and other such actions.
6.5 SOAP LLP are only responsible for students while they participating in their class. Children cannot be supervised whilst they are outside class.
6.6 S.O.A.P holds Public Liability Insurance.
